The world is busy,

everyone is busy

and like a torrent not at ease,

we rush, we run and rush on.

From bits to bits,

in multiple forms intimacy diminishes.

Trends and techs evolve,

care and concern dissolve.

We see ourselves,

we hear ourselves,

we chat,

text, tweet

pose, snap, update

and while comments like avalanche arise,

prominence emerges; an influencer awakens.

And to each post with a million likes,

courtesy genuflects to conceit

then we troll and we taunt

and we forget what friendship looks like.
