If Only You Knew

Up and down the streets you move
You see life, death, pains and fun
If you knew how close you are to the groove
Every prayer would be your last my son

The road to happiness leads to the grave
Yet you grab the whole world in your chest
But the moment you leave all you crave
The certainty will come in like a guest

I sighted your fellows in the loud house
Breaking branded bottles and horny hearts,
Whose attractive dangers hide under their blouse
They killed their days with poisoned darts.

If only they knew the cries and the pains
That permeate the wards and the theatres
Sobriety would wake their inebriated brains
Before the villains maim their inner characters

So, listen and hearken to the first commandment
No good one would be of help at the end
Neither the most loved one nor the government
But the five rituals you fervently tend.

Among the sweetness of life is falsehood
Trust and tie your tongue to the truth
You’ll be the manual of manners in your hood
Still young your tongue, keep it in its booth.

Follow the rules from the noblest slave.
In death, you’ll live because you submit
Like the historical faithfuls in the cave
Till you wake on the day of summit

Now, look at the pains on the death bed
See the ball room and the dance crew
The two have one end to wed
My son! Remind them if only you knew.
