In the darkness of despair;
I tremble with fear.
Desolation hides my face
Within this grisly snare
Dread dares to displace
The pride of peace
I once made my soul wear,
That entropy may increase
With mounds of woes
To jolt and scare
My soul with blows.
Down in the dumps I stand,
Gravely gasping for fresh air;
Caged behind bars for my sleight of hand.
It ends here,
With freedom unaware
Of my long lost cheer.
