May her soul rest in peace

Get me a minstrel’ seat that I may mourn

Out secreted sores in songs born

Of gusts of dismay

That swept a beloved away.

Silence skulked and stole her soul,

Slew her smiles and left a roll

Of melancholy to mash her mirth

And put to birth

Enervation from ovaries of ache

Coercing emotions to break.

Yet, Maya will rise

Above the dust of death; she will rise.
