I see no justice
Beneath the
shades of myriad baseless holy wars
Barricading clemency
with rancorous walls
Hewed from the
bricks of greed and anomalies
Embedded in the
rigorous fray of conviction for spiritual solace
Is the triumph
of religious fanaticism.
Muslims, Christians,
aren’t we all the same?
Inventively
crafted by an architect naive of racism
Doctrines may
differ
Siblings we
shall remain though domiciles and distances apart
Nay, it matters
not how far nor status at par
For as long as
the embers of love forever linger in our hearts
Many are the
afflictions of the hopeless and helpless
In times we
cuddle egocentrism with sharing of less kindness.
Where have we
gone wrong for such odium to overshadow us?
That being
humane feels lame, elongating the pervasive acrid fuss
To our faces are
the engravings on the wall spelling unity
With much there
is to gain in amity.
In seeing we all
engage in some puerile defiance for religious superiority
What will
Christ, Krishna, Allah or Mohammad do?
All are part of
one big cosmic family
Deserving to
live in peace, fulfillment and ever after happily.
Days are
fleeting spawning evil. The end is near
And if we must
surpass our flaws and overcome our gruesome fears,
Trading
hypocrisy for pious affections to one another
Would be the
best bet to take starting now and right here.
