Choose To Make Our World Better

Life is about the choices and decisions we make. From the very beginning of our lives till this time, what has kept us going are the every conquered challenge that has made us strong and the very informed decisions we have made. And the ones we will make will determine where else we will be going.

At all times must we be ready to make decisions to see that we arrive at where we ought to be and should be. You will always be faced with choices as to which way to go in life, you will come across circumstances that will either break or make you. But one beautiful thing about this is that, you are with the liberty to determine the outcomes by the decisions you choose to make.

The truth is that there is an abundance of beauty and good in the world, as well as the bad parts that still create plenty of problems for us all. Regardless, you should have the mentality of making the world a better place for all.

Many of us would like to help build a better world, but taking on the whole world as a project can certainly seem overwhelming and the questions we tend to ask ourselves are: Where does one even begin? And what can one person with simple resources actually do to actualize the world we would really love to see?

Sometimes, answers to these questions are really not that difficult to decipher. There are always right there within the very crux of our being- that to change the world, we must first change ourselves. To change ourselves begins with changing our thoughts and deciding to apply the principles of love and integrity into every sphere of our lives.

This, thus, demands we own ourselves and take up responsibilities to make our lives better. You need to recognize that you are a sovereign and unique individual, and you make the decisions to own yourself in spirit, mind and body. Changing yourself does demand you become the owner of your life and destiny and take personal responsibility for your actions.

This essential decision will guide your other decisions in life, re-orienting and re-creating your existence around the principle of personal independence. Someone once said: “recognizing the sovereignty of other individuals as well is important to provide the foundation for ethical social interactions. Owning ourselves and recognizing the sovereignty of others are both ongoing processes that require patience and perseverance to apply in our lives.” But then it is up to you to make that decision to see that you are participating in making our world better.

The life you live will never be void of problems and sore circumstances. As such, you should be ready to embrace your situations and look for the good in them, and expand it or look for the good that you can put into the situation. Then, can you consider what you have achieved by owning yourself and creating value in the world, and how you can help that process to replicate itself in the lives of others by possibly acting in love and kindness.

When at a crossroad between the borderline of life and death, happiness and sorrow, success and failure; when faced with the option of whether to give in, give up or press on, then will the moment of decision surface and whatever you decide and hold on to will be all you will ever have to either find fulfillment in your life or to make your life a living nightmare. And this will have a ripple effect on the better world we seek to create.

Life is to be lived and savored. Choices are to present you with which path to take and when everything seems not to be going in the way you have always wanted, it is for you to decide today what the next step is and be determined to make your fantasy a reality and not the other way round.

Learn to make the best of what you have. See every reason to impart positivity in people’s lives and to the cause of humanity. Always advocate for a constructive change in every sphere of life you find yourself and just because life is about choices, choose to make our world a better place.

Although, making the world a better place is a collective responsibility by everyone because you cannot do it all alone. But the truth of the matter is that it starts with you and me, and by choosing to join the progressive train, we are sure to see a remarkable difference and a wind of change along the path of our destinies.
