Only If You Try

Others might have tried and failed
In the wrong path they all have trailed
A little indecision, a little hesitation
Is enough to see you languish in degeneration and depression.

The sadistic storm will wage its war
Presenting repelling challenges to the fore
It’s for you to stand firm on your creed
Till you overcome and possess what it is you really need.

Sometimes, you must strain your eyes
And persist only to see the stirring light
But then, your worries will be doubled twice
Forsake not attainable lofty height; do what is right.

Only the brave has the propensity to go all the way
Surmounting, effacing every hurdle no matter how small
Nothing it is you have to say,
Is the reason you can’t rise after every fall.

The road not yet taken
Inhabits records not yet broken
Why not challenge yourself
Discover hidden talents and be true to yourself?

Put yourself to a simple test
Define yourself and see if you have been living at your very best
Offer excuses neither a parlor nor a room;
Seek knowledge and never choose to always assume.

Only if you try,
Can you become better
You really don’t have to lie
In the pursuit of accomplishments left, right and center.

Only if you try
Would you know how far you can go
And with stanch confidence as that of the sun up in the sky
Would you realize the ‘you’ the world is yet to know.
