A
love driven world
Is
what we all preach
As
ramifications of starvation engulf nations
Where
survival is all they teach.
Cities
brawl against cities
For
the sake of hegemony and lust;
Neglecting
innocent lives to fade
In
the hands of cruelty and unjust.
Even
nature detests our nursing credence
As
families drown in their tears
Watching
loved ones pay the ultimate price
For
a war they know nothing about.
We
hear of tsunami there
And
report of cyclone here;
Nothing
really seems fair enough
With
heirs/heiresses becoming refugees in their land of birth.
The
prevalence of animosity
Continues
to shrink our world into a maze,
Making
lives an obscured riddle
With
solutions nowhere to be found.
No
one is ever proud of the past,
The
present isn’t worth lamenting about;
Even
when we know not what awaits tomorrow,
Is
this how we all were meant to live our lives?
We
live like a suffocating man
Gazing
at the picture of oxygen
With
our hearts in our mouths
Not
knowing when their beats will cease.
Our
odds of existence
Seem
very bleak and narrow;
Leaving
someone like me; someone like you
Wondering
how we will ever make it through.
People
are dying,
We
are reducing by the day,
And
all we ever think of is war;
More
war, war and hate for one another.
Some
call it survival,
Others
call it living,
And
in the end, when we all wake to see through the windows of reality,
Will you and I be
proud of the world we have thus created?
