Survival, Success and Significance

Day and night
You toil to go so far,
You try your best and fight
To know how far you can go;
Then, you struggle for survival
Without thinking about how you live your life.
As favour decides to play your game,
You aim for the stars
And aspire not to retire.
Like the game of snake and ladder,
You keep pushing harder
And harder till success was in sight.
Thus, you reach for greatness
Then, you acquired it;
At first, jubilation trilled your spines,
You soar in mirth and forgot the past pains
But with the mystery of life,
Noon had to pave the way for sunset;
And you reached to fall
Back to the place where you had begun
The quest to greatness and success
And you kept wondering what life is about.
You ask,
What is life all about
That all you see is agony and feel dejection?
What is your life about?
You fall to rise,
You reach to fall
Yet you fail to know why
As the mystery of life goes on.
Always at a point,
You halt to ask
What your life really is about;
What do you really seek?
What despoils you of your bliss?
Some live to survive,
Others thrive to succeed,
No one cares about significance
Other than how fleeting nosh will occupy their stomach.
Funny enough,
Because the meaning of life
Is to give life meaning,
If what you really seek is other than significance,
It could be success or survival;
This you must know
That as fleeting as the breeze from east,
So will your quest for success and survival fade
With ample traces to the abode of regrets.
Though, it is never too late to turn
The radar of your life around,
Success, survival and significance,
If truly you know why you are here,
Which do you really seek on earth?
