The Challenger and You

Clink! Clink!!
The knock out bell rings;
With a ravenous round fist,
Life dishes out its blow.
Alas! You stagger
Like you have been struck with a dagger;
With a frowning facade of fatigue,
You seek to retire,
As you wallow to show a sign of intrigue.
Dizzy and uneasy
You portray without stamina;
In the eyes of onlookers,
In the minds of well wishers,
What a pity!
Is the message they convey.
Still on your feet,
You cease to retreat;
Yet another blitz,
You trembled,ready to crumble without glitz.
With a blurred blink,
You gaze at the umpire,
As you tarry in thinking;
Thinking either to rise or surrender;
Ill wind that blows no good saturated the atmosphere;
While inhaling the air of defeat,
Your heart fails to retreat;
Life-The Challenger-wonders,
Where are the envoys of despair?
Then another jingle;
Clink! Clink!! Clink!!!
What a battle!
Was the theme of the discussion;
Perplexed!
Flabbergasted!
We all were
When you finally gave in to levitation.
What could we all say?
Indeed,you were joggled,
Then you stumbled.
Fortunately,you neither crumpled nor crumbled,
But with each breath you inhale,
Fraught with gratitude and thanks,
You exhalation must be;
And as long as you desire you live,
The garment of hope,you must never leave.
Though,battles are won,
The war of life never really ends;
If success and not fulfillment is what you seek,
Then your preparation must be high,
Else you sink or fall,
Like an eagle that has been shot in the sky.
No one but you alone,
Can salvage you from the ring of the challenger;
Life-The Challenger,
But do you know who you are?
