Immortals

Graves aren’t for upright men,
Graves aren’t for virtuous women.
Though their fond memories lurk
In the shadows of eclipsed past,
Stashed within frames of antiquity -
No more fulgent as the morning sun,
Nor lambent as the moon and stars -
Infinite whispers of their healing and cheery words,
Their many good deeds forever thrive.
In the hallowed chambers of mindful, grateful hearts,
These men,
These women,
Survived by their greatness and virtues,
Never died; never die.
Remembered for all ages;
They are immortals!
