How Tears Form

The heart trembles at a weakening sensation,
Slowly and slowly it beats;
Peppy, bubbly cells swim sullenly
Within walls of logy veins.
Traces of broken confidence,
Remains of wounded trust,
Fragments of shattered love
Mingle with boiling red blood,
Flushing every whit of strength smiles could muster.
Spontaneous streams desert their chambers
And via oval tracks where light pierces the conscience,
They find expression and woo sympathy from caring eyes.
Pharynx and Lungs hoist tunes of heavy anguish,
Indeed, you know something dear is lost…
This is how tears form.
